This catalogue only shows polar low candidates
for interested people:
a vortex about 200~1000 km in satellite imagery
and a low pressure system with closed isobaric lines in surface weather charts.
Therefore, it is not an officially analyzed dataset
like besttrack datasets for typhoons and huricanes.
The locations of the polar lows are approximately determined
based on cloud pattern.
This is partly based on the polar low archive
created by Dr. Irina Gurvich at FEB, RAS (Russia).
